In our work we have always operated according to criteria of responsibility and sustainability. Over the years we have identified and developed mainly 3 areas of commitment: PEOPLE, ENVIRONMENT, COMMUNITY PERSON.
PEOPLE. Respect and dignity of every individual is a fundamental commitment for us. Consistent with this philosophy, we have always paid the utmost attention to offering equal opportunities and equal individual treatment for all employees, without distinction.
The underlying principle is the “value” of our team of people, whose development we encourage and reward their performance. We try to foster a work environment inspired by respect, fairness and collaboration that allows for involvement and accountability in achieving objectives.
Today, in the time of Covid-19, we pay even more attention to the safety of our people, encouraging remote working, guaranteeing distance in the offices as well as the supply of masks and disinfectant gels.
ENVIRONMENT. We have always been committed to concrete actions to protect the environment and help ensure the health and well-being of future generations, in line with its long-standing corporate principles. We consider our role to be instrumental and are mainly focused on building the sustainability of our business while reducing the overall environmental impact and secondly, we support our customers in pursuing their environmental goals.
To obtain an increasingly broader knowledge of environmental issues, we make use of expert collaborators who are able to provide data relating to the emissions of planes, trains, cars and hotels, constantly monitoring the carbon emissions generated.
Our environmental activities cover several areas. In the workplace, we have improved our systems and infrastructure to reduce their environmental impact. We have included company water dispensers to reduce the use of plastic bottles in the company and used paper and ecological material for various documentation. We have changed our ways of working and carrying out our activities, eliminating about 100kg of paper a year since 2015, reducing its use towards new forms of communication (mailing marketing) and applying separate waste collection. Finally, Uvet’s goal is to acquire renewable energy to reduce its carbon dioxide emissions by at least 10%, thanks to the strategies and activities implemented.
COMMUNITY. We have always proposed a sustainable and responsible tourism, fully respecting the environment and the cultures. We recognize the centrality of local communities as protagonists of the tourism development of their territory, fostering a positive relationship between the tourism industry, local communities and travelers so as not to generate any social or economic damage to the populations of the regions hosting the tourism itself. Our company policy also reflects our commitment to activities that benefit the community and the Fondazione Atlante is an example of this.
