Two tourism operators, united by the will to put their wealth of experience at the service of a series of social solidarity projects: the Atlante Foundation, founded on the values shared by Amadeus and the Uvet Group, aims to use the knowledge, practices and the opportunities tied to tourism as a virtuous development lever at an international level.
The culture of tourism and social solidarity
In December 2011, the Uvet Group together with Amadeus created the Fondazione Atlante with the aim of putting their wealth of experience at the service of social solidarity and culture.
The Foundation works to spread the diverse expressions of culture as means to improve the quality of life and social cohesion, and to finance solidarity initiatives by acting in a concrete way on specific projects tied to tourism.
Its activity focuses on three macro areas of action: Social, Cultural and Education, with the aim of supporting projects tied to responsible and accessible tourism, protecting the cultural, historic and artistic heritage, and training operators and professionals in the tourist industry in developing countries.
