The BizTravel Forum was formed in 2003 from an idea by the President of the Uvet Group, Luca Patanè.  There was no opportunity for the business travel sector to meet, consider and debate; to create a culture and to become a true point of reference for companies and operators.

The long adventure of the BizTravel Forum, debuted within the SMAU trade show, a choice not made by chance, today stands within of Fiera Milano Mi.Co. , to create an event which, over the years, has come to know how to renew itself and adapt itself to the sector’s continuous evolution, anticipating its trends and offering interesting insights into the Business Travel sector in Italy.

Over the years, the BizTravel Forum has become the catalyst for the Italian Business Travel Community, the industry event that, each year, opens its doors to the most important companies operating in the Italian market and to the best-known operators in Mobility, Events and Tourism. There is just one objective: to meet, discuss, discover and learn about current issues in travel management. From globalisation and economic crises to disintermediation, from rationalising transfer management processes to new technologies and mobile services, from transfer tax regulations to self-booking tools or the business traveller’s new purchasing behaviour, to mention just a few items.

The heart of the BizTravel Forum is the rich programme of content with over 20 meeting sessions that rapidly follow one another over the two days and which lead into Forums, Seminars, Workshops and Round Table discussions; initiatives that involve international experts, authoritative industry professionals and managers from important companies and multinationals.

Also each year, industry journalists, economic publications and travel agencies, from the Uvet System as well as independent agencies, take part. The highlight of the event is the traditional opening Forum which, through a vivid, stimulating talk show, maps the market’s trends, offers a panoramic overview of the emerging trends in corporate travel and predicts the challenges for the future.

More than 3,000 participants and over 100 industry operators attend the BizTravel Forum, including Sponsors, Media Partners and Exhibitors; a large, attentive and specialist gathering. A strong turnout with talks and presentations rich in content and quality: these are the event’s winning cards.
